Does The Scrotum Vein Need Further Looking Into?

Hi,
My left testicle seems to have a vein running across it (on the testicle, not loose in the scrotum), which I can see when I hold the skin of the scrotum tight to the testicle. I have also noticed that the tubing on this testicle is opposite to the right one (i.e. epididymis on left testicle is lower, main tube is higher; epididymis on right testicle is higher, main tube is lower). I'm worried that this might be the cause of the vein, and is this vein something to worry about? Many thanks for your help.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Such a palpable vein on the testicle proper which can be differentiated well from the epididymis is although rare is one thing that needs to be investigated.
I would advise you the following :
Color Doppler and ultrasound.
Clinical confirmation of your findings by an Urologist to get an idea what it is and what treatment would be suitable.
It is important to rule out cancer in such a case.
