Does The Synthetic Thyroid Medication Has Any Adverse Reactions?

I have been taking prescribed desiccated thyroid hormone for years and now my endocrinologist wants me to switch to synthetic thyroid meds because my t3, t4 and stimulating hormone levels are all over the map. The reason I was switched to desiccated in the first place was because my doctor at the time felt that I was having a reaction to the filler in the synthetic thyroid. I am starting synthroid tomorrow and am apprehensive about it.

I donot understand, how your doctor presumed that you may be allergic to synthetic thyroid.Still if you donot have early history of reaction to synthetic thyroid hormone,it cannot be predicted at this stage. But generally allergies to synthetic thyroid hormone are not very common.
