Hi doctor, I am varsha from chennai(Tamilnadu-India),for four years i am having bronchial asthma, first my doctor prescribed me seroflo 250 then he prescribed esiflo 250 and i am using esiflo 250 for 1yr 6months,before i used to take daily as said, but now i am trying to control the usage of medication by doing yogasanas.Presently i am not taking inhaler daily only when i am feeling more wheezing or breath shortening i am using inhaler, will this cause side effects?sholud i have consulted my docter before doing this
Hello, First thing both the inhalers you were using have same contents i.e.salmeterol and fluticasone, so these are interchangeable. Inhalers are the safest way to control the asthma. Do not stop the treatment on your own because asthma is a disease if not controlled can be hazardous. There are no major side effects of these inhalers. If you got any side effect then consult your doctor. Of course yogasanas is very effective for asthma but it should be an add on and not a substitute for your medicines. So my suggestion is consult your doctor before stopping any treatment.Stay healthy. thank you.
