Does Unpredictable Behavior In Children Need Medical Attention?

My grandson is having problems at school. He disrupts the class and is going through the teacher's desk and the other children's belongings. My daughter has taken him to doctors. He was on medication and now he is not. He has a five year sister and seems to resent her at times and appears loving toward her at other times. I have told my daughter he needs to return to the doctor to find the root of his problem. What do you think?

I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. Your grand son need not to go to doctor for the problem. He has a behavior disorder which can be called as attention seeking disorder. He is inclined to seek attention of teacher, other students, mother and others. You should take your child to a psychologist /psychotherapist for further behavioral treatment using reinforcement / punishment.
