Does Use Of Medicated Shampoo Cause Swelling Of Lymph Node On The Head?
my son just had lice, and we used the medicated shampoo on sunday. today we just noticed a bump on the left side of his neck....more of a swollen node possibly...i believe it to be a swollen lymph node due to an allergic reaction to the medicated shampoo...my wife is freaking out for other reasons...could u possibly be able to help me get a better understanding of what this may be ?
Hi Welcome to HCM! Medicated shampoos usually do not cause swelling of lymphnodes. The swollen lymphnodes on the head are due to the lice infestations. Once the lice are eradicated or killed these swellings also subside. In case if the swellings persist, you may please consult the doctor to rule out other causes of lymphnodes enlargement.
Best regards!
