Does Vaginal Exam Cause Light Vaginal Bleeding While On Menopause?
I am 50 and in menopause. I had an appendectomy one week ago. Prior to diagnosis, I was given an internal vaginal exam in the ER to rule out any gynaecological issues. Today I had some light vaginal bleeding. Could this be related to the surgery or the exam that I had? I have not had a period in two years.
Hi, thanks for writing.. It is normal to have vaginal bleeding after menopause on examination because of atrophic vaginitis.. It will last only for a few hours. If bleeding lasts for more than a day then it has to be evaluated.. Hope I have answered your query.. Good day..
