Hi. I just had a Brazillian bikini wax done this morning and now notice several small whitish spots on my mons pubis. They are not bothersome and I didn t notice except that I now have no hair there to cover them. Could I have an STD? Should I go get tested? Or is this a normal reaction?
Hello. This is likely to be Folliculitis, which is the inflammation of the hair follicles, in this case caused by the waxing, and sometimes they get infected. Don't worry, you don't need to get tested, some women react this way to the waxing. These spots go away on its own, but you can use a moisturizer cream if you want them to go away faster, and it will soften your skin as well.
