Done Pelvic Ultrasound, Pregnant. Advice?
hello Doc I am Kiran Sohal from india wants you to advice on my pregancy, my last LMP was 2-8-2012, it s been 9 weeks passed now. today I have undergone 2nd Pelvic Ultrasound inorder on advise of my gynae doc. it shows the following judgement:- 1. the urinary bladder shows normal anechoic pattern 2. no calculus or diverticulae seen in the urinary bladder 3. the uterus shows a gestational sac of app 6 weeks 1 day size in upper segment. NO 4. foetal node is seen in the sac as yet 5. no free fluid is seen in pouch of douglas 6. both adenexal regions are sonographically normal Look forward your instant advise Kiran Sohal India +91-0000 / 0000

When the fetal pole is not visible during ultrasound, the sonogram should be repeated after 3-7 days to see if there is any disparity between the actual dates and the gestational age. Fetal pole is usually seen between 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 weeks by trans vaginal sonogram. Rest of your sonography report is normal. If in the repeat ultrasound the fetal pole is not yet seen, and if the size of the gestation sac is more than 16 mm., and if the serum hCG levels show a decline, then a miscarriage is diagnosed. Most often, repeat sonogram reveals a fetal pole and normal outcome. Please consult your doctor for further advice. Good luck.
