Hi , i made a semen analysis , the result was as follows : Color : Greyish white Volume : 2.1 ml Reaction : alkaline ( PH 8.7 ) viscosity : Normal Liquefaction time : 25 minutes Sperm count : 89 million Motility : 45% first Hour 40% second hour 35% third hour Forward Progression: Fast forward prog. 0% Moderate forward progression 40% Slow progression 35% Motile in place 25% Abnormal forms : 25% Agglutination : present tail to tail W.B.Cs : 2-3 R.B.Cs : 1-2 Spermatogenic cells : 4-7 Crystal : Absent Trichomonas : Absent Others : Absent Would you please guide me to the conclusion of this analysis ?
The motility is lower normal limit (as per WHO 2010, grade a should be >25% or all total >50%).
The Normal sperm count is also within normal limit (as per WHO 2010, normal sperm should be > 04%).
The pus cells, are above normal limit.( as per WHO 2010, normal semen should not contain any pus cells or RBCs).
So, overall, your report indicates possibility of genitourinary tract infection and low sperm motility.. For this, you required a broad spectrum antibiotic like ciprofloxacin and coenzyme q and vitamin e group of drug.
