Done Surgery On Cyst In Scalp. Will Hair Ever Grow On The Surgical Site?
Hello, I had an abscess or a cyst on my scalp 3 years ago. I had surgery done on it and no hair has grown ever since. Will hair ever grow on the surgical site? Also, I have another abscess/cyst forming. Am I going to need surgery for the new abscess as well? I m in college now and frightened that I ll have two baldspots in the lower left back of my scalp and top. Thank you for your time.

When the hair follicles get destroyed completely by a surgery done on the scalp there are lesser chances of getting the hairs back.....this is what we call cicatricial alopecia...you can just cover that part with long hairs....hair transplant may be tried....see whenever you get any kind of infection on the scalp you need to treat it as early as possible to avoid permanent scarring....don't worry
