Done Tendonectomy On Wrist. Have Shoulder Pain Due Serrated Bicep Tendon. Emergency?
I just had tendonectomy on my left wrist 4 days ago. I woke up on the 3 third day with my shoulder hurting. I had a neared serrated bicep tendon and I cannot lift my elbow and arm out from my side. I can lift it with my hand to a certain point and then move it. does it sound like I perhaps somehow completely severed it. My question is "Is this something of an emergency" or just wait until monday to call and have it checked by my ortho. I hope I have not severed it at this time just after having my wrist done.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The injury to the biceps tendon is not likely to be related to the wrist surgery you had recently. Since there is a difficulty in lifting up the arm, it is best to consult an orthopedician for a proper examination. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
