Dosage Of Colimax For Newborn Baby?
colimax drops how frequently, for maximum how many days to be given to newborn for colic . & when the cycle can be rpted ? One of our known baby was given three times a day x 6 tmhs routinely in 1st 8 mths of life. His IQ is very fine & also he is otherwise healthy but motor responces are not very quick & strong. at the age of 2.5 yrs, he prefers some one holds waterbottle for him while drinking. He hardly chews the food. Mother gives till today grinded food & he just swollows he is slow on jumping & climbing. Answering your second question first, there is no documented evidence linking antispasmodic to delayed skeletal motor activities. There must be other causes for the delayed motor activities in the known baby.
Colimax should be given as and when required and there is no need to give it very frequently and for days. One should not feel the need for giving it for more than a day or two at any instance. In my own pediatric practice of more than 30 years I have never used it in my patients. One should strive to find the cause of so called alleged "colic pain" before prescribing the drug.
