Dosage Of Nor-metrogyl Suspension For Diarrhea And Fever
My Kid aged 4 years 8 months is having diarrhoea & high fever , I have the nor-metrogyl suspension. She is 18 kgs What dosage can I give her. Thanks for the help .

Hi and welcome to HCM.
Its better if you take your kid to a pediatrician and he/she will see for any dehydration signs and advice some oral rehydration solution or admit based on the his/her condition.
Nor metrogyl suspension contains metronidazole 100 mg and norfloxacin 100 mg per 5 ml. You can give your kid 5 ml twice (morning and night) for 5 days.
Also give paracetamol syrup 2.5 ml three times till fever comes down. get a ORS sachet (pediatric sachets like pedialyte) and prepare the solution as per instruction given on sachet and give to the baby as and when it passes loose stools.
Give syrup zinconia 5ml once daily for 10 days.
Dont stop any other home made fluids. If your kid looks very sick, eyes sunken, not very active,passing less urine then immediately take to a local doctor.
