Drug Testing And Rehab. Should Consult Doctor Weekly?
After a LONG period of terrible difficulties at home due to my son's smoking marijuana so much he wants to do nothing but sleep and eat, also skip school. I said if he didn't stop I would take him for drug testing and check him into rehab. I caught him and his friends smoking on a Friday night and on Monday first thing in the a.m. I took him to our family physician for urine testing. He tested negative for THC or cannabis or whatever else. I am absolutely losing my mind over this situation. If I don't get him help soon, he will flush his whole life down the toilet. How could he possibly pass a urine test so soon after smoking marijuana? I do not understand this at all. Should I take him regularly for testing, like weekly?
Urine testing is not the solution. In my opinion you should sit down with your son and discuss the issue with him. It will not happen in one sitting but you have to get his trust and work with him over a few days. It will be better if you seek professional advice and consult a psychologist before thinking of deaddiction.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
Wishing your son all the best.
