Drunk For First Time. Blood While Coughing. Problem?

I drank with some friends last Friday night and it was my first time really doing so. I had a bit too much than you're supposed to and I was coughing up a little blood the morning after, but that has been gone since. Although, ever since then I feel a bit off, as if I'm almost still drunk (even though I know that isn't possible). I drink plenty of water so I don't believe myself to be dehydrated. Any ideas on as to why I would feel this way?

Hi,

What you are going through is actually a hang over. It occurs due to withdrawal from alcohol and is common after one binges on alcohol. It makes you feel off color and you also feel that you are not as alert as usual. You may also be having heaviness in the head and shakiness. It will improve and go away in around a week or less. The blood in cough could be due to the erosion of the lining of the oropharynx by alcohol. There is no need to worry but please be cautious in future. In susceptible people, there may also be seizures some time after a binge on alcohol.

Hope this is of help. Best wishes.
