Ear Canal Feeling Warm, Sore And Numb While Sleeping, Irritating. Normal Blood Work. Any Ideas?

The opening to my ear canal feels warm 90% of the time and Cold 10% of the time. This has persisted for over 2 weeks. When i sleep on it if feels sore and numb. It is more irritating than painful. I went to my general practitioner last week she was baffled, my blood work came back with nothing wrong. I guess my next step is the ENT. I just want it to go away, ever heard of this?

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query and it appears as you are having otitis externa may be allergic.

Since your blood work is reported as normal therefore if there is no interference in hearing than need not to worry, You may take -

1- Anti allergic.

2- Keep ear clean and dry.

Please don't put any ear drop and if your problem does not solve by above medication than physical examination will be necessary by an ENT doctor.

Regards.
