Hey Dr. My mother had heart failure on year 2011, when she has visited Mekkah. Its was very much critical time, After treatment she is a bit ok and came back home. Now less then 30% heart is working. She is faving some time breathing problem.. She is under medicine therapy . Does she able to have any press maker for her heart? How is the possibility for successfull OP? whats your opnion.
Hi,
there are specific indications for a pace maker. Not all patients with heart failure deserve pace makers. Heart failures usually have different causes and aggravating factors. Depending on an avalanche of criteria, you cardiologists usually selects appropriate and oriented treatment options.
She needs to visit the cardiologist again for a proper reevaluation, the he is then going to decide whether she really needs a pace maker or not, While waiting, she should continue her medicines as prescribes, and you should encourage her to follow the diet and practices been advocated by your managing physician. Should not hesitate in breathing becomes really difficult or at rest or mild effort or other serious manifestation.
Thanks and have a great day, quick recovery for your mum,
