Early Periods With Nausea, Dizziness, Mild Cramping, Brown Spotting. History Of Having Unprotected Sex. Thoughts?
Hi, I had an early period (normal I think) last month and now I'm one week early again but with nausea, dizziness, mild cramping compared to normal and had brown spotting a few days ago. I have never had this puky feeling with my period before so am concerned. And yes, I did have unprotected sex with my boyfriend last month.
Hi, Thanks for the query. Usually menstrual cycle with length of 21 to 35 days can be considered as normal only. As you had unprotected intercourse, if that was around the time of ovulation there is possibility of pregnancy. Spotting in early pregnancy can be seen due to many causes like implantation bleeding etc. For more details : http://srsree.blogspot.com/2013/06/causes-of-bleeding-per-vaginum-other.html As spotting and nausea etc can be seen in premenstrual syndrome also, just by symptoms we cannot come to one conclusion. So, after crossing your expected date of periods, go for blood test for pregnancy. This will help in ruling out the possibility of pregnancy. If the test comes positive, consult gynecologist and proceed according to her advice. Take care.
