Echocardiagram Results Revealed Non-dilated Ventricle, Left Atrium Mildly Dilated. Meaning?
I have just had my results back from my Echocardiagram. The study revealed a non-dilated left ventricle with normal overall systolic function with mild diastolic dysfunction, Left atrium borderline midly dilated. Right heart non-dilated with normal overall systolic function. Then it said No significant valvular heart disease noted. What does all this mean?

if you are not symptomatic, this is on a whole not a cause for panic. However, remember echocardiogram is an operator dependent evaluation, at times it might require you do the test some other time to actually be sure of the diagnosis. However, adhere to the management plan of your cardiologist, or if you have not met a cardiologist yet, you should meet one for other tests like the ECG, chest X ray and clinical examination for a concise decision to be taken.

Hello and welcome
as per your echocardiography report, it looks normal. and if you do not have any risk factor's like BP, diabetes, smoking etc. and if you can walk more than 3km without any problems, in that condition i think you are normal. Your echocardiography suggest almost normal findings.
