Elbow Hurt Making A Small Hard Bump Which Is Sore And The Pain Extends Till The Wrist. Should I Consult A Doctor?
I hit the outside of the elbow on the humerus bone about 4.5 months ago. There is a small hard bump on the outer edge which constantly hurts to the touch and if I use the arm. Pain starts at the elbow and goes down to the wrist. The more I use it the worse it hurts and is uncomfortable trying to sleep. I am very very active and really haven't gave it any rest. I have a dr. apt in a few weeks but feel silly about making a big deal out of it. I am thinking it's only tendonitis. I only made the appointment today when the pain is now above the elbow too. I bowl once a week, have horses and i am constantly moving hay by hand...(round bales and square) Chop wood...etc. I am 50 years old but have good strong bones.

Hi! Thanks for contacting HCM. You seems to be energetic man and young at 50. You might have had a hard hit and might have hit the bone, which is in fact would very painful. It might be periostial pain. Keep ice regularly for 20 mins for a week. Reduce your activities of the afftcted hand for a while. Still if it does not go then consult a doc.
