Enlarged Lymph Node Under Arm Since Years. Will It Ever Go Down?
I have an enlarged lymph node under my arm that I have had for around 2 years. My Dr. did a sonagram and he said it was nothing to worry about. Should the lymph node go down or is it normal to stay enlarged? It seems to me to be as big as ever. It's about the size of a half dollar. It feels as if it has a firmness coming off of it now.
Hello, Thanks for writing in. As you have said, the usg of the region confirms a lymphnodal mass present since 2 years. Right now it is getting bigger and the firmness is coming off it. You have not mentioned any pain or pus formation. If you want to get confirmation that its nothing to worry about then I suggest you get a FNAC test of the lymphnode. This is a simple needle prick done by the pathologist and seen for the material under a microscope. Hope this helps.
