Enlarged Thumb Knuckles That Crack On Their Own, Seem To Lose Causing Irregular Twisting Of Fingers. Cause Of Worry?
My lower thumb knuckles are enlarged and pointy but it doesn t hurt. I ve been cracking my knuckles for around the last 10 years since I was 7 so my hands get stiff and tired a lot and crack on there own when I don t crack them for a while. Also I ve noticed my other lower finger knuckles are kind of loose and I m able to twist my fingers out of place and I m just wondering if any of this is bad or if I don t need to worry about it
Hi, It is not uncommon to have joints that crack. If you have no pain in your joints then there is no need to worry. Regards, Dr K A Pottinger MBChB FRCA
