Enlarged Tonsil With Coughing Attacks And Itching In The Throat In A Smoker.
I am a smoker and I have this awful cough that I have taken antbiotics for as well as steroids. The cough goes no where and my throat starts itching and I have a coughing attack and throw up Help! also one of my tonsils are enlarged and that too is a bit weird because it feels like I have something stuck in my throat.
Welcome to HCM. It looks to be smokers cough. If not improved after antibiotic, steroid then go for CBC,ESR AND CHEST X-RAY to confirm the diagnosis. You have to stop smoking to get better and fast recovery. Syrup containing dextromethorphan, phenyleephrin, and chlorpheniaramine will be helpful in smokers cough. Proper antibiotic like azithromycin is advisable. Do warm water gargle. Keep in touch with your doctor.
Hello! considering your smoking history, i am bit concerned about your complaints and i would strongly recommend that you meet your ent doctor immediately he will examine you and guide you further! meanwhile you can start steam inhalation 3-4 times a day. thanks
