Excessive Burping, Drinking Water

my 3 year old son has been excessively burping all day for the past 4 days and not on purpose, he also makes as noise in this throat like he s burping within. I know something is wrong he has not done this before. The burps are like he had a sprite and he has not had anything to drink to make him do that. He drinks water
