Excessive Hair Fall After Delivery, No Relief With Medications. Diabetic. Any Remedy?
Hello Dr
I m bharati tolani. I hv delivered a baby girl on may 2013 after delivery there is a massive hairfall with bunches of hair which is not controlling frm any medicine. I m also a juvenile diabetic but my sugars and ghp is also in control range.
So please help me and suggest some good medicine.

Excrssive hairfall after delivery is due to telogen effluvium.Telogen effluvium is a condition where all hair go to telogen phase which is terminal phase of hair cycle.it can be due to viral fevers.typhoid.malaria.postpartum.stress.labour pains.it can be cured by supplementation of iron.folic acid .b12 and biotin.apply keratone hair oil daily

Its not allowed to use more than 2% of minoxidil hair spray or lotion because of the growth of unwanted facial and body hair. You have to wait for 6-12 months to see the results of the Minoxidil.
There are some helpful tips to to have a healthy hair growth.
Try to avoid :
Lots of fatty food, Lots of caffeine and soda, Sugars in your diet, Smoking and drinking alcohol,Harsh,perfumed hair care products .
Try to :
Eat a healthy balanced diet, Drink lots of water, Regular exercise, And vitamin and mineral supplements.
