Excessive Whitish Discharge, No Pain, Period Not Started After Abortion. Am I Ovulating?

Hello I need to find out something, I had a incomplete/missed abortion about a month ago, and I want to try to have a baby again but the doctor at the hospital said that I can start trying to have a baby after my first period but I still haven t started, and they said my body was in great shape and healthy and ready to start trying again when I m ready but lately I ve been having excessive whitish discharge but no pain or any cramps nothing at all but I m having a lot of discharge. So I was wondering is that normal? Am I ovulating or maybe conceived again or should be worried, please I need answers, thank you

Hi, though its just been a month since your abortion, sometimes ovulation starts erratically after abortion and may happen before your first period so you are always at risk of pregnancy inspite of not having periods. However it is not advisable to try for a pregnancy till about 3 months post abortion as even though you may appear healthy , your reproductive organs need time to heal. Copious discharge post abortion is more likely to be an infection and needs to be examined by your gynaec.In the meantime its always advisable to start folic acid tablets 5mg once a day everyday 3 months before you plan a pregnancy continuing upto first 3 months of pregnancy.
