Experiencing A Heaviness Of The Tongue. What Can We Do To Improve Her Tongue?

my 94 year old mother has experienced a heavyness of the tongue and we cannot understand her words. she has a problem remmembering some things but remembers most every thing from the past. however,the most pressing problem is that we cannot understand 95 percent of her words. she is able to communicate by writing on a pad. what can we do to improve her tongue?

dear sir/madam
due to her elderly age,she is unable to move the tongue properly they may also be laxcati of cords in the throat larynx change in voice may also be due to lariangel nerve policy.
