Experiencing Dark Brown Discoloration In Semen. Being Treated With Cipro. Condition Still Persists. Possibility Of Prostate Cancer?
I have been experiencing dark brown coloration that I think is blood in my seamen for some time now. I've been to a urologist and he is treating me with cipro. This has happened several times over the last year and that has been successful in stopping the sympton. PSA has bee about 3.5. The last however was 5.0, but I had this condition again during the blood test. This time however, I've been on it now for three weeks and the condition still persists. I prostate cancer a possibility?

Blood in the semen can be caused by tumors, infections, anatomical abnormalities, stones, or inflammation in many sites throughout the genitourinary system. Usually blood in the semen is benign and resolves on its own. Treatment, if indicated, depends upon the underlying cause. You have to go for further investigations to confirm the diagnosis.
