Experiencing Difficulty In Breathing & Kind Of Squeezing
My Eleven year old daughter has a squeezing feeling all in the center of her chest and makes here feel like she is not able to catch her breath. She has had it for about 1 month, she makes deep coughs to try and feel relief. Docs are thinking it could be a tic... I feel like I should take her to a heart doc?

Hello. Thank you for your question. I am sorry your daughter is not well. In this age group, any symptoms involving the chest are more commonly attributed to the lungs rather than the heart. The sensations she is describing could be signs of mild asthma. I recommend consulting first with a pulmonoligist. This is more likely to lead to the correct diagnosis.
