Experiencing Excruciating Pain In Left Hip. What Could Be Causing This Pain?
I am experiencing excruciating pain in my left hip. When I am taking a shower or drying myself with a towel after a shower, when I bend down to reach my left foot, I get the pain when I straighten up. What could be causing this pain? I do not feel the pain when I bend down, only when I striaghten up after bending down.
You could be having a condition called sciatica. Its basically an impinging of the nerves in your back which causes electricity like pain in the leg which can radiate to the foot as well. There are few physical examination tests which can be done to confirm this suspicion. But only an MRI of your back can confirm the disease. My advice is to take a course of muscle relaxants plus pain killers for a week. If it does not relieve the pain then you have to go for an MRI.
