Experiencing Pain In My Throat And Sometimes It Sounds Like Three Voices Coming From My Throat
I use to be able to sing quite well. now I find it difficult to sing in my usual key. Also I tend to yawn either during a song or right after. I also get pain in my throat which one doctor told me I have spasms in my throat. This may sound strange but sometimes it sounds like there are three voices coming my throat.
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can either be due to upper respiratory tract infection or vocal nodules due to over-use of vocal cords during singing. Laryngoscopy will be helpful in clinching the diagnosis.
Management includes: 1. Antihistamine preparations like Allegra for symptomatic relief. 2. Voice rest. 3. A course of antibiotics may be taken to prevent secondary bacterial attack. 4. Maintain adequate hydration & a healthy balance diet. 5. Warm salt water gargle & steam inhalation. 6. Also make sure that you are well protected from cold, dust & other allergens.
If symptoms still persist, kindly consult an ENT specialist for proper clinical examination. Wishing you a good health. Take care.
