Men share a deeply strong relationship with their mothers. Sometimes , the mothers take an advantage of it to turn situations in her favor. Being a wife , you can't directly tell him that his mother is wrong , as this will just make him drift away from you.

Give him the space to make his mistakes and learn from it on his own. Make sure , that when he realizes this , you are supporting and guiding him then. This will strengthen your relationship as he'll realize you understand better.
