Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic.
The development of swelling soon after the trauma and the persisting pain suggests the possibility of an underlying fracture on the chin bone called tibia. My advice is to go and visit an ortho doctor and let him take an xray. Its important to go to a doctor as repeated stress on the fracture during walking can worsen the condition.
Take care
