General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for using healthcare

With your family history of heart disease , if you are concerned that the chest pain may be related to your heart then it would be best to be evaluated. This would involve examination by your doctor and investigations such as an ECG.
The ECG would be able to assess the rate and rhythm of the heart beat, identify if there is any enlargement based on the 'current' flow in the heart and any areas of decreased blood supply.

Heart related pain is typically central, tight or heavy, occurs on activity, relieved by rest and associated with shortness of breath and palpiations.

I hope this helps

HYPERTROPHIC CARDIOMYOPATHY runs in families,
instead of worrying i suggest you get a 2D echocardiography which is eaily availabe, non invasive cardiac test and can confirmatively tell you if you have it or not.
twniges as referred by you can be extrasystole or a missed beat , if frequrncy is once in a while then you can just neglect it, however if it lasts for few minutes or hours or becomes frequent then you should be concerned.
seeing a Cardiologist will ease to your mind , i believe

hope this helps.
