General & Family Physician, Dr. Vidya Pai's Response
She will need an endoscopy. A tube passed into her esophagus so that the doctor can take a small sample and see what is going on. Sometimes children have something called eosinophilic oesophagitis where they need treatment by GI specialist and antacid medications
Hi Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day
Presence of persistent vomiting in a child especially if it's bilious one needs to rule out possibility of Surgical causes like Malrotation. I would suggest you to consult Pediatric Surgeon for further assessment. Mri will not be helpful. It will require upper gastrointestinal contrast study .
