Explain Isoechoic Lesionin Bifurcation, Neck Of GB With Posterior Acoustic Shadowing, May Represent Stone In Gallbladder

Please explain what this means e.g the abbreviations and if this is serious....There was an isoechoic lesion in the region of the bifurcation/neck of GB with posterior acoustic shadowing. This lesion was non-mobile and may represent a stone in the neck of the gallbladder or spiral valve of Heister. I am not certain this is a CHD stone.

hi,
You have a possible stone or sludge in the junction of gall bladder duct and liver duct (hepatic duct), and a stone in the gallbladder at its connected end (neck).
A stone in this region can impact and can result in acute cholecystitis.
I would recommend a CT scan of abdomen to confirm it.
Hope this helps.
