Extreme Fatigue And Thirst. Blood Test Showing Low Iron Levels. Need Treatment?
I have extreme thirst and extreme fatigue. Headaches and neck/back aches. Just recently fever is associated as well. Mind cloudiness....like I can't keep things straight. Blood work showed very low iron levels, but all else comes back ok. Blood pressure ok, sugar ok, oxygen levels ok.... I'm 38 F and have always been genually healthy.
Hi and welcome to HCM.
YOu should do more detailed blood work and check your urine and hormonal levels. It can also be any kind of respiratory or urinary infection. Sometimes even the exact infection site cant be found. It sounds to me now like viral infection which can cause headache and neck pain, bones pain, fever etc.
You should drink as much as you can and eat easier food. If smyptoms persist you should visit infectiologist for further testing. WIsh you good health.

Hi,
Well you havent mentioned what your haemoglobin level is, it could well be that you're suffering from anemia as iron is a very important factor in the production of haemoglobin (for the record, haemoglobin is what helps the blood carry oxygen). The anemia can be the reason for most your symptoms. So get another blood test to check your haemoglobin level.
You should also add some iron supplement to your diet.
Hope this helped.

Hello,
Your iron level is low so you are having anemia with fever .Anemia can be treated by hematinics. For fever go for CBC ,urine culture, typhidot ,rapid malaria test , If any report is positive specific treatment for that is reqd. If all test reports are ok it may be viral illness .For that you should take lots of fluid ,simple diet easy to digest and paracetamol.

Hello
welcome to health care magic
regarding your query i will tell you that you are suffering from anemia.
the symptoms you said above are the result of this anemia
Before going to the treatment of anemia you should find out the possible cause for that low iron levels..
In women during the time of menses blood is lost..so to cope up this lost blood you should take diet which is rich in iron..
You didn't mention your menses details,,whether they are heavy and irregular..or normal..
You did n't mention about hemoglobin status..
depending upon the level treatment varies from simple medications to blood transfusion
Consult gynecologist or physician for further suggestions and treatment.
Hope you understand my suggestion..
have a speed recovery
Thank you
