Eyes Seem To Stray Or Wonder, Strange Eye Movements. What Is The Disease?

I am becoming concerned that my 6 week old daughter may be showing signs that something is wrong. I have started to notice that her eyes seem to stray or wonder. Its not just exclusive to one eye, they both have appeared to have the same wondering effect throughout the day. She will also have strange eye movements when I am talking to her and she is attentive. They will go back and forth from side to side really fast and then she begins to flutter her eyes as if she is having a seizure of some sort. I have only seen her do this when I am engaging her by talking and she is attentive. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Hello

I am afraid the baby is having defective vision. Due to her age she can not be examined subjectively and needs to be examined very carefully objectively. If the fundus is found to be normal, you should try to find the refractive status of her eyes. In case there is some inherent defect in eyes, it should be treated accordingly.

The condition should not be taken lightly and urgent examination by a specialist is needed.

Regards
