Feel Lightheaded When Sitting Down, Vomiting , Also Feel Like Spinning. What Could Be The Reason?
Sometimes, I feel lightheaded for no reason, it doesn't start when I stand up, but occurs whilst I'm sitting down. It usually lasts several hours, and often starts during school times. The last two times I have vomited and then the room felt like it was spinning. Every time I had eaten food, so it's not that. I am a 17 year old female who has had this occurring randomly for just over 2 years now.

I would come up with these possibilities for this type of spinning in young female , these includes.
1 Anemia , diagnosis can be confirmed by blood examination for hemoglobin level.
In young female usually anemia is the main cause of dizziness, vertigo, lightheaded,nausea.
2 Hyper avidity , this is a very common cause of vomiting , nausea & dizziness . Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical , clinical as well history of illness.
In my opinion consult a physician and get his opinion as physical and clinical examination is very important . Till avoid greasy , spicy foods, also avoid chocolates , junk food.

I have read your question and from that it looks like that there is a need to get an X Ray neck to see if there is any problem there.
You develop symptoms in school , which also points that they occur when you are looking down in a book or writing something. So, these dizziness spells are related to it and not the one caused by remaining hungry.
I think it will help you not to bend your neck much, as now you also develop vomiting with severe episodes of dizziness. Such cases respond greatly to neck exercises and reduced bending of neck and head, avoiding sudden change in posture, turning.
