Feel Pain On Inner Thigh. No Pain When Running, Jumping. Hurts On Pressure. Reason To Panic?

So i was playing soccer the other day and when i kicked the soccer ball i felt pain on my inner thigh (right). But it doesn't hurt when i run or jump, it just hurts when i kick the ball. If i put pressure on it then it hurts. I heard something about it being called a groin strain, how should i treat this injury, right now i'm guessing it's a minor one

Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

I have read complete details of your question. It looks that most probably you are having strain of groin muscles. In inner part of thigh there is group of muscles which are known as adductor muscles-

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adductor_muscles_of_the_hip

Most probably during playing you had injured one of these muscle.

You should do following to have relief in this-

-Take rest.Avoid strenuous activities.

-Do cold fomentation,if this injury is recent one.If it occurred more then 3-4 days ago then you may do warm fomentation.

-Take a mild analgesic like advil or aleeve to have relief from pain.

Hope this all will help you.

With best wishes.
