obstructive pulmonary disease, may have pulmonary
hypertension, productive cough is more common in this etiology, the over all clinical picture can be cleared by means of of
x ray chest study, and routine blood counts, for to reduce the mucous,, short course of
steroid can try,, Dexamehtosone ( if the patient is not diabetic), with brochodialator, if he his on antihypertensive ACE inhibitors then stop it,, and try another anti- hypertensive drug,, if he is on
diuretic then potassium sparing would be good ,,take care of your father Have nice day
