General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thanks for the query,
prescription of drugs especially related to chronic conditions like hypertension, that have strong correlations with other metabolic diseases usually entail consideration of multiple factors before prescription. Depending on the family history, medical history and presence or absence of other cardiovascular risk factor, a decision is then arrived at.
I suggest the drugs prescribed with the brief history of yours you present are actually appropriate. A key aspect in this therapy considering the fact that one patients responds differently to these drugs is compliance. You should do your best to follow the doctors recommendations and never fail to report as soon as you can any unusual signs and symptoms in case you notice any during the treatment process.
thanks and best regards,
