Feeling Irritated In Throat After Accidentally Inhaling Floor Cleaner
Hello, I just sprayed a lot of Lysol in my room and breathed a lot in accidenlty, I could taste it so much after, now my throat feels like it was burned and sore...is that bad?? What should I do?? Pleaae help incase this is bad and I can do something before it get worse...thanks!
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that due to inhalation of fumes of lysol there has been chemical irritation to the throat mucosa leading to irritation and inflammation which is causing sore and burnt feeling in throat.. Nothing to worry as it will get resolved soon.. You should start gargling with cold water as well as drink plenty of cold water.. Do warm saline gargles.. Take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen. You should take a soft and bland diet and avoid spicy and hard foods.. In case if the symptoms does not resolve in a week or if the condition worsen consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment will be done accordingly..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
