Feeling Itchy And Tinging Sensation In Legs Due To Parkinson's Disease
I have Parkinson's Disease and have recently had trouble with itchy and tingly legs. I do not know if it is another symptom I have to deal with or if something is wrong that needs consultation with my neurologists. Any suggestions? I sleep in an adjustable bed with the head and the foot slightly raised.
Your symptoms could be related to peripheral neuropathy or vitamin deficiencies. For this reason, I would recommend performing a nerve conduction study and some blood lab tests (complete blood count, blood electrolytes, vitamin D levels, vitamin B12 levels, thyroid hormone levels, kidney and liver function tests, fasting glucose). You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.
Hope you will find this answer helpful! Kind regards, Dr. Aida
