Fell Down Stairs, Popping Sound From Left Leg, Pain On Flexing, Numbness. Cure?
i fell down a flight of stairs with my left leg behind me which I heard something pop. It was numb and painful at first, the pain got alittlebetter but today it hurts very badly there is also upon palpation it seems to have a part of my shin missing. It hurts to try and flex it and to move it side to side and to bear complete weight on it. It still is a bit numb
It is possible that the popping noise that you heard was a tear in a tendon or ligament. In addition there is the risk of fracture which would also cause limited movement, swelling, deformity of the limb and pain.
You should perform RICE- rest of the limb, ice pack to reduce compression, compression bandage to reduce swelling and elevation.
In addition it may be best that you visit your doctor as soon as possible for an assessment.
I hope this helps and you feel better soon
