Fell On A Raised Patio. Had 3 Surgeries On This Knee. X-ray Shows No Problems. Now The Swelling Is Worse. Will Staph Reoccur?

Just wondering, I fell on my right knee/leg off a raised patio by a pool. I have had 3 surgeries on this knee. My entire leg is bruised as is my knee. I had a X-ray taken if my knee and nothing broken. It's been a week and the swelling is getting worse but also the bottom half of my leg is red and very hot. I have had staph after a surgery last July and am wondering if staph can reoccur after a fall like this.

Hi,
It seems that you are having soft tissue damage with infection leading to cellulitis.
It might be staphylococcus infection.
Go for CT scan of the leg.
Consult orthopedic suregeon.
Higher antibiotic medicine course with anti-inflammatory medicines might required.
If require go for dressing of the part under doctor supervision.
Ok and take care.
