Fluid Build Up In Lungs, Asthmatic Bronchitis. Rattling Feeling In Chest, Excessive Sweating. Reason?
I was just released from the hospital a couple days ago because of fluid build up in my lungs caused by lupus and asthmatic bronchitis . I still feel rattling in my chest but keep breaking into a complete dripping sweat out of no where. My body feels like it s on fire and sweat just pours down. I took my temp. And it is ok. What could be going on?
The likely possibility is that the chest infection (bronchitis) is still not completely under control.
You break out in sweats after a high temperature when there is an underlying infection.
Occasionally thyroid abnormalities (increased thyroid activity) can cause similar symptoms, although I am sure that must have been checked out already.
ESR is a blood test that is useful to monitor if there is underlying infection in lupus, or another bout or flare up of lupus.
CRP is normal in lupus flare up, and raised when there is significant infection.
You may need to up your steroid dose or get another course of antibiotics, as per the blood results.
I hope that was useful.
Best Wishes.
