Foot Pain, Foot Got Stuck While Closing The Door. Is It Broken? Dont Want To Take X Ray As I Am Doing Chemo. Suggestions?
My foot hurts a lot. My daughter closed the door on my foot and because it was dark she kept pressing on it. She said why can I close this door and I said because you are not listening. My foot is outside the car. Yes you guess right she was talking to her boyfriend on the cellphone. Now I'm in a great pain that nothing I do helps. Is anything broken. I don't want X-rays because I'm doing chemo and I don't have the time to go to the Doctor.
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM. You could have sustained a soft tissuecontusion and possible hematoma which will be very painful. An xray is mandatory to rule out any bony injury. Use some analgesic antiinflammatory medications, Ice compressions and foot end elevation. Hope these should resolve your symptoms, if not consult an orthosurgeon.
