Hello doctor, I have been using Pexep for past 1 nd half year. Initialy it was consulted by my doctor and started from 12.5 mg then 25 mg and now 37.5 mg. I was suffering from anxiety/mild depression but now i am feeling better and want to reduce it quantity. But my doctor asked me to continue until he will suggest. Please advice till when we should take this medicine as i want to leave it due to stomach related problem like stomach upset/gastric etc ??
Hello.Paroxetine is a safe drug. There are people who take it for 10 years without problems. No problem take a few months more. If you suffer gastric discomfort, drugs as Omeprazole 20 mg can be prescribed. Also tell you that whenever you take an anti-inflammatory drug in combination with paroxetine, necessarily must take a proton pump inhibitor (omeprazole, lansoprazole, pantoprazole). I wish you good health. (If the answer has helped you, please indicate this)
