For What Duration Should Looz Syrup Be Taken?

I was getting blood in stools whenever i ate chicken, so the doctor advised to take looz syrup after eating chicken everytime as he said i have anal fissure..so my question is that do i have to take this looz syrup life long? or i can stop at certain time? please answer.
